A 63 mm bore puts the MAC63X225SU at the top of AirTAC's round-body mini family, where double-acting power and a variable air cushion at each end handle loads the smaller bores cannot. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 1558 N and pulls 1457 N; run 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) and the theoretical maximum reaches 317.7 kgf. Ease the cushion needle screws fully open at commissioning, then close them gradually to soak up end-of-stroke shock at speeds from 30-800 mm/s.
For real work, plan on about 935 N - roughly 0.6 of the 0.5 MPa push - rather than the full rating. The riveted stainless barrel and hard-chromed 16 mm rod keep their seal and finish through washdown and damp plant air, an edge painted-steel minis give up quickly, and because the magnet is built in as standard, CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches clip straight on.

If the load is lighter, a 50 mm bore gives 981 N at 0.5 MPa; heavier than this unit allows and 63 mm is already the largest bore in the series, so a second cylinder is the only way to add force. The U flat-end back cover bolts straight onto fixed plates, with FA flange, LB foot or SDB pivot brackets available when the frame needs them. Air pressure alone positions the rod, so a centred valve or lost supply lets the load drift - add a rod lock or pilot check valve where position must survive. Across 225 mm of stroke, keep side load off the 16 mm rod and guide the load in its own bearings.
