About the Airtac MARF Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MARF20X15S
With just 15 mm of travel, the MARF20X15S is a compact front-flange actuator for tight clamps and short, positive pushes. The 20 mm double-acting piston develops 157.0 N at 0.5 MPa (131.9 N on retract), with a variable cushion at each end to absorb the last fraction of the throw.
Its riveted stainless tube and hard-chrome 8 mm rod handle washdown better than painted minis, and the two-way piston seal retains grease for long, dry-running intervals. At 0.5 MPa the 157.0 N push translates to about 8 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin, enough for small fixture lids and covers. On air loss the piston simply drifts, so add a rod lock where the clamp must stay closed. The magnet is built in as standard, ready for CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches.
