About the Airtac MARF Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MARF20X230S
With a 230 mm stroke and its own front-flange bracket rolled into the body, the MARF20X230S is AirTAC's round-body MA mini cylinder in double-acting form. Air works both ways: 157 N push and 131.9 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 219.8 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a variable cushion at each end to soften arrival. The 8 mm hard-chrome rod carries an M8x1.25 male thread, and a 1/8 in port feeds the 20 mm bore.
Because the barrel is stainless steel and the aluminium covers are riveted onto the tube, the body shrugs off damp and washdown-prone spots where painted minis rust early. The magnet is standard, so CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches clip on without a special piston. Plan real work at about 94 N (six tenths of the 157 N rating); with a 2:1 margin the rod lifts roughly 8 kg vertically. Run it anywhere from 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) at 30-800 mm/s.

Bore 20 is the smallest in the MAR range, so there is no step down; if 157 N at 0.5 MPa feels thin, bore 25 delivers 245 N and bore 32 reaches 402 N in the same round format. Note that a plain MAR drifts if air is lost - the cushion only softens the stroke end, so add a rod lock where the load must stay put. The F front flange bolts straight to the machine, and the standard magnet pairs with CMSG or DMSG switches for end-of-stroke sensing.
