About the Airtac MARU Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MARU20X75S
Built on AirTAC's rolling-packed MA platform, the MARU20X75S gives you a 20 mm bore and a 75 mm stroke in a round stainless body that stands up to moisture, splash and outdoor air. A hard-chrome plated 8 mm carbon-steel rod runs in grease-retaining seals, and the double-acting piston carries an adjustable air cushion at each end of travel. The top (U) bracket is integral to the front cover and the magnet comes fitted, so CMSG, DMSG and EMSG switches drop straight on.
At 0.5 MPa you get 157 N of push and 131.9 N of pull; at 0.7 MPa extend force rises to 219.8 N. Keep the working share near 94 N and the mechanism stays crisp through long duty cycles. Is the Airtac MARU Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MARU20X75S the Right Cylinder?
This 75 mm stroke is still a standard item - MAR cylinders accept up to 500 mm before a made-to-order build kicks in - and non-standard strokes can be quoted if you need more travel. Step up to a 25 mm bore for 245 N at 0.5 MPa or a 32 mm bore for 402 N when the load outgrows the 157 N class. At 75 mm of stroke, watch rod alignment: an off-axis load will side-load the 8 mm rod, so add an external guide where the part can pivot.
Do not count on the MARU20X75S to hold a mid-stroke position - with no air it gives way, since the cushion is damping, not locking. Specify a rod lock if that matters. Connections are 1/8" ports; I and Y rod knuckles thread onto the M8x1.25 male end.
