The MARU40X100S puts 628 N on the rod at 0.5 MPa - top-tier push for a round-body mini - inside a riveted stainless barrel fitted with its own top-mount bracket, so it bolts to the machine without buying a separate flange or foot. It is double acting with a variable air cushion at each end.

Is the Airtac MARU Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MARU40X100S the Right Cylinder?
Step down to the 32 mm bore if 402 N at 0.5 MPa covers the job, or up to the 50 mm bore (981 N at 0.5 MPa) for heavy clamping. Note the 40 mm bore still uses a 1/8" port. Like any non-locked cylinder, the rod moves freely when air is cut - a rod lock cylinder is the fix for hold-in-place duty. The integrated top bracket carries the mounting load; I or Y rod knuckles thread onto M12x1.25. Over a 100 mm stroke, minimize side load with external guides to protect the rod.
