The AirTAC Airtac MD Multi-Position Clamping Cylinder MD6X5 is a genuine MD multi-mount cylinder (double acting), 6 mm bore. Its compact square body fixes from six directions and mounts side by side to save space. It delivers about 14.1 N of push force at 0.5 MPa. A bumper cushions the impact.
The AirTAC MD series is a compact multi-mount cylinder with a square body that fixes from six directions - front, back, left, right, top and bottom - so several units can be mounted side by side to save space. Magnetic-switch slots run around the body, guide precision is high and no added lubricant is needed. This MD6X5 is double acting with a 6 mm bore and a very short 5 mm stroke, ideal for tight squeeze or eject jobs, delivering about 14.1 N of theoretical push at 0.5 MPa, cushioned by a bumper and rated 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. MD is the standard multi-mount family; the MK family is the no-rotating version where the rod must not turn. This SKU carries no S, so the magnet is not fitted; port thread is PT. We confirm dimensions and sizing from the AirTAC datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC MD/MK multi-mount data. The front cover and piston are short, so avoid an over-long stroke. An optional high-temperature seal material extends the range to 0 to 150 C. Overall dimensions vary per stroke and allowable side-load is published as curves — ask us and we confirm from the datasheet.
Bore sets thrust: a 6 mm bore gives 14.1 N push (10.6 N pull) in double-acting use at 0.5 MPa; move to 16 mm (100.5 N) if you need more force. MD is the standard family where rod rotation is acceptable; MK prevents rotation. Acting choices are double acting (MD/MDD/MDJ), single-push (MSD/MSK), single-pull (MTD/MTK) and adjustable stroke (MDJ/MKJ, adding 10/20/30 mm). Strokes for bore 6 run up to 35 mm double acting, and the short cover cautions against an over-long stroke - this 5 mm stroke sits comfortably inside that range. Add S if you later need the magnet; PT thread is standard with G optional. Route side-load questions to us.
Holds tiny components during a press or screwdriving step; the 5 mm stroke suits short clamp moves and the square body fixes from any of six faces.
Nudges small parts off a feed track or nest with a short, controlled push, mounting side by side with its neighbours on a compact fixture plate.
Drops or extends a stopper pin to index a small dial plate or fixture, fixing from the top or bottom face where space is tightest.
No S means the magnet is not fitted, and no G means the ports are PT thread (M5x0.8 on a bore 6 body). Add S for the magnet or G for G ports when ordering if your application needs either.
The square body fixes from six directions - front, back, left, right, top and bottom - so the cylinder bolts on from whichever face the fixture allows, and units mount side by side to save space. Dimensions and side-load figures come from the datasheet; ask us to confirm them.
