Compact and light, the MG20X20 is a double acting JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 20 mm bore and a short 20 mm stroke. Air drives the rod out and back, and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad at each stroke end softens the direction change - it decelerates only, it is not an adjustable air cushion. At 0.5 MPa the bore delivers about 157 N push and 131.9 N pull, rising to 219.8 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 32 kgf at 1.0 MPa.
The barrel is SUS304 stainless steel riveted onto the covers, paired with a hard-chrome plated 8 mm rod, so the body shrugs off damp, washdown-prone and outdoor spots better than painted-steel minis. Because the footprint follows the JIS mini-cylinder standard, standard brackets and I / Y rod knuckles drop straight on. At 20 mm bore this is the smallest MG, so there is no step down within the series; if 157 N push at 0.5 MPa is marginal, step up to the 25 mm bore (about 245 N) or the 32 mm bore (about 402 N). The 20 mm stroke suits short clamp or eject moves. Keep in mind that when air is lost the piston drifts freely - the bumpers do not lock anything - so add an external rod lock or a pilot check valve if the position must be held. Mount with LB foot, FA flange, CB clevis or SDB pivot, and add the S magnet code if you plan to fit CMSG / DMSG / EMSG switches.
