A compact round-body actuator built to the JIS mini-cylinder standard, the MG20X200 works double acting: air drives the 20 mm piston out and pulls it back, with no spring involved. At the standard 0.5 MPa shop supply it pushes with 157 N and pulls with 131.9 N, rising to 219.8 N and 184.7 N at 0.7 MPa. Its 200 mm stroke suits slim spaces where a longer body would not fit, and the fixed anti-impact bumper pads at each end soften the direction change without acting as a cushion or a brake.
The barrel is SUS304 stainless steel riveted onto the covers, paired with a hard-chrome plated 8 mm rod, so the body shrugs off damp air, light washdown and outdoor duty far better than painted minis. Because the footprint follows the JIS mini standard, standard brackets and I or Y rod knuckles bolt straight on. As a working rule, budget roughly 94 N of that 157 N push for real work at 0.5 MPa, which is about 9 kg of vertical lift with a sensible margin. At 157 N push (0.5 MPa) this 20 mm bore is the smallest MG size, so if your load needs more, step up to the 25 mm bore at 245.3 N or the 32 mm bore at 402.2 N; there is no smaller MG below it. The 200 mm stroke is within the 500 mm standard range, but at this length keep side loads off the 8 mm rod and guide the load externally. Mounting choices are LB foot, FA flange, CB clevis or SDB pivot; this SKU has no S magnet, so CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches cannot be fitted unless you order the S version. If higher speeds or heavier loads hammer the stroke ends, the cushioned MGC in the same bore family is the alternative.
