If your load needs more, step up to the 25 mm bore at about 245 N push at 0.5 MPa; if 157 N is generous for the job, there is no smaller MG bore, so consider the single-acting MSG/MTG family instead. The 250 mm stroke is well inside the 500 mm standard range for this bore, but a long thin 8 mm rod invites side load: guide the workpiece or use external guidance to protect the rod and seals. Mount with LB foot, FA flange, CB clevis or SDB pivot, and remember that a plain MG drifts when air is lost - it holds nothing on its own, so add a pilot check valve or external rod lock where a load must stay put.
