At 628.3 N push at 0.5 MPa, the 40 mm bore sits at the top of the MG range; if your load needs under about 402 N, the 32 mm bore (MG32X150) is the lighter, cheaper choice, while heavier or high-speed duties should step up to the cushioned MGC series in 50 or 63 mm. Remember that a plain MG drifts when air is removed or the valve centres, so an external rod lock or pilot check valve is needed for held loads. The 150 mm stroke is a standard length (up to 500 mm is catalogued for this bore), but keep side loads off the 16 mm rod on long travels and guide the load externally where bending is possible. Mount with LB foot, FA flange, CB clevis or SDB pivot, and add the S magnet code if sensor feedback is planned.
