The AirTAC MGC63X300S is a double acting, JIS-standard round-body mini cylinder with a 63 mm bore and 300 mm stroke, fitted with a variable air cushion at both stroke ends. Instead of a fixed bumper pad, the cushion needle at each cover can be adjusted to decelerate the piston smoothly near end of travel, so this cylinder tolerates higher piston speeds (up to 800 mm/s) and heavier moving loads without hammering the covers. With 1557.9 N push and 1400.9 N pull at 0.5 MPa (72 psi), it is the largest force class in the MG family, and the fitted magnet (the S code) allows CMSG, DMSG or EMSG reed switches to be clipped on for end-of-stroke signaling.
Construction follows the JIS mini-cylinder footprint: a SUS304 stainless barrel with covers and stainless block riveted and rolled into place, plus a 20 mm hard-chrome plated carbon-steel rod with M18x1.5 male thread and 1/4" air ports. Size the bore two ways: from the force needed at your working pressure, and from speed, where the variable air cushion makes the MGC the better pick over the bumper MG whenever the piston travels fast or the moving mass is heavy. There is no larger MGC bore, so if more force is needed move up to a larger series; if you are below 40 mm bore and do not need cushioning, the plain MG is the no-cushion alternative. Stroke 300 mm is within the 500 mm standard range for this bore, and non-standard strokes up to 800 mm are made to order. Mount with the FA flange or LB foot, add I or Y rod knuckles if the tooling needs a pivot, and rely on the fitted magnet for CMSG/DMSG/EMSG switches.
