Because a rod exits both covers and both sides of the piston see the rod-side area, the output force is equal in both directions: about 131.9 N at 0.5 MPa and 184.7 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 26.9 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The adjustable cushion decelerates the piston smoothly at each end of the stroke, so this small cylinder can handle higher speeds and heavier loads than an un-cushioned equivalent.
