The AirTAC MGCD20X450 is a JIS round-body mini cylinder, double acting and double rod, with a variable air cushion at both ends. Because a rod exits both covers with the same M8x1.25 male thread, both stroke directions work on the rod-side area, so the output is equal each way: about 131.9 N at 0.5 MPa and 184.7 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 26.9 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The adjustable cushion decelerates the piston smoothly at each end of the long 450 mm travel, which suits higher speeds and heavier moving loads than an un cushioned mini cylinder can handle.
Construction follows the JIS mini footprint: a SUS304 stainless barrel with a hard-chrome steel rod, riveted covers and a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal. The through-rod gives natural anti-rotation and a free rear rod end for a stop, flag or second load.
