Because a 10 mm rod exits both covers with the same M10x1.25 male thread, both strokes work on the rod-side area, so the output is equal in each direction: about 206.1 N at 0.5 MPa and 288.5 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 42 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Applying the usual 0.6 working-load rule of thumb to the 0.5 MPa figure gives roughly 12 kg of safe vertical load.
