Because a hard-chrome plated 10 mm rod exits both covers with the same M10x1.25 male thread at each end, the effective area is the rod-side area in both directions, so the output force is equal either way: about 206.1 N at 0.5 MPa and 288.5 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 42 kgf at 1.0 MPa. A variable air cushion at both ends lets you dial in smooth deceleration for higher speeds or heavier loads, while the rear rod end can carry a position flag, stop or a second load.
