The AirTAC MGCD25X450 is a double acting, double-rod JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 25 mm bore and a 450 mm stroke. A hard-chrome rod exits both covers with the same M10x1.25 male thread at each end, so both sides of the piston see the rod-side area and the output force is equal in both directions: about 206.1 N at 0.5 MPa and 288.5 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 42 kgf at 1.0 MPa. A variable air cushion at both ends lets you tune the deceleration at each end of stroke, giving smooth stops at higher speeds or with heavier loads. The rear rod end can also carry a second load or drive a stop flag.
Construction follows the JIS mini-cylinder footprint with a riveted SUS304 stainless barrel and a hard-chrome (20 um) carbon-steel rod, and a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal.
