The AirTAC MGCD25X500S is a double acting, double rod JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 25 mm bore and a 500 mm stroke. A hard-chrome steel rod exits both covers with the same M10x1.25 male thread at each end, so both strokes see the rod-side area and the output force is equal in both directions: about 206.1 N at 0.5 MPa and 288.5 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 42 kgf at 1.0 MPa. A variable air cushion at both ends lets you tune the deceleration at each end of the long 500 mm travel, giving smooth, controlled stops at higher speeds or with heavier loads. As a rule of thumb, plan on roughly 10 kg as a safe vertical load at 0.5 MPa.
Construction follows the JIS mini-cylinder footprint: a riveted SUS304 stainless barrel with a hard-chrome (20 um) carbon-steel rod, a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal, and 1/8" ports.
