Airtac MGCD Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MGCD63X25

The AirTAC MGCD63X25 is a double acting, double rod JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 63 mm bore and 25 mm stroke. Because a 20 mm hard-chrome rod exits BOTH covers with the same M18x1.5 male thread at each end, the piston works against the rod-side area in either direction, so the output force is equal both ways: about 1400.9 N at 0.5 MPa and 1961.2 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 285.7 kgf at 1.0 MPa. A variable air cushion at each end lets you dial in smooth deceleration for high-speed or heavier-load stops, and the rear rod end gives you a second working face for a stop flag, position switch trigger, or a second load. Air supply is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof pressure is 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed range is 30-800 mm/s, and temperature is -20 to +70 C on air filtered to 40 um.

Construction follows the JIS mini-cylinder footprint: a riveted SUS304 stainless barrel with hard-chrome plated carbon-steel rods for corrosion resistance and long seal life, plus a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal. The 1/4" ports are threaded PT as standard. This model ships without the optional magnet, so no position sensor can be fitted; order the -S variant if you need CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches. For sizing, a practical working load is about 0.6 of the developed force, roughly 840 N at 0.5 MPa, and for vertical lifting halve the force figure to about 71 kg. Note that the air cushion only decelerates the piston at stroke end - it is not a lock, so use an external rod lock or pilot check valve if the load must be held on air loss.
