The MKD32X30 is a compact square-bodied multi-mount cylinder that fixes from any of six directions - front, back, left, right, top or bottom - and mounts side by side to save machine and fixture space. This is the double-rod variant: the rod passes through the body, so the 32 mm bore drives a supported plate on both strokes, each delivering about 345.6 N at 0.5 MPa (the through-rod gives the rod-side figure on both strokes). It runs on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), 30-500 mm/s, from -20 to 70 C, with a bumper as the cushion.
A genuine AirTAC part, the MK family adds a no-rotating plate, fixed rod and brass bushing (typical) so the rod cannot turn - ideal where tooling must stay square. Bore sets thrust: at 32 mm this double-acting, double-rod cylinder delivers about 345.6 N per stroke at 0.5 MPa. Pick MK over MD where rotation must be prevented, and double rod (MKD) where a through rod must work from both ends of the body. The 30 mm stroke is comfortably within the 60 mm maximum for bore 32, and the short square body suits modest travel - avoid over-long strokes. This SKU has no magnet (no trailing S), and PT thread is fitted as standard with G available on request.
Applications
Square lifting of tooling plates
Fix the MKD32X30 under a machine table and lift a guided plate through 30 mm; the double rod carries the load from both sides and the no-rotating plate keeps the plate from twisting.
Product gating on a belt line
Mount the cylinder alongside a conveyor to raise and lower a gate blade; the through rod drives the blade squarely through its 30 mm stroke without rotation.
Two-sided small-parts clamp
Fix the MKD to the side of a fixture and drive a clamp pad from the through rod; the same compact body can hold or release a part from either end of its 30 mm travel.
