The MKD32X30S is a compact square-bodied multi-mount cylinder that can be fixed from any of six directions - front, back, left, right, top or bottom - and mounts side by side with neighbouring cylinders to save panel space. This is the double-rod variant: the rod passes through the body, so the 32 mm bore drives a supported plate on both strokes, each delivering about 345.6 N at 0.5 MPa (the through-rod gives the rod-side figure on both strokes). It runs on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), 30-500 mm/s, from -20 to 70 C, and the cushion is a bumper.

How to choose
Bore sets thrust: at 32 mm this double-acting, double-rod cylinder delivers about 345.6 N per stroke at 0.5 MPa. Choose MK over MD where the rod must not rotate, and double rod (MKD) where a through rod must work from both sides of the compact body. The 30 mm stroke is well within the 60 mm maximum for bore 32, and the short square body favours modest travel - avoid over-long strokes. The trailing S means a magnet is built in for position sensing; PT thread is fitted here, with G on request.
Applications
Indexed fixture positioning
Fix the MKD32X30S to the base of a rotary or linear indexing fixture and push a positioning plate through 30 mm; the no-rotating plate keeps the plate perfectly square to the nest.
Gate and stopper actuation
Mount the cylinder alongside a conveyor and stroke a stopper blade up into the part path; the double rod raises the blade squarely through 30 mm without any twist.
Small-parts clamping in a jig
Fix the MKD to the side of a machining or assembly jig and drive a clamp pad from the through rod; the same short body clamps or releases from either end of its 30 mm stroke.
