The PTL601B is an AirTAC push-lock speed controller for a Dia 6mm tube on a 1/8in PT threaded port. The B suffix makes it a meter-in type: air flowing from the thread port into the tube passes unrestricted, while flow in the reverse direction, from tube back to thread, is throttled. AirTAC names meter-out as the first priority for most circuits, but meter-in is the correct match for a single-acting cylinder, where the spring or the load does the return and only the supply side needs governing.
Instead of a knurled knob this PTL uses a push-lock cap: press it to free the spindle, set the orifice, release, and the cap locks the setting in place.
