The PTL801A is a push-lock speed controller that takes a Dia 8 soft nylon or polyurethane tube and threads into a 1/8in PT port. It sets the speed of a cylinder by restricting air in one direction while letting it pass freely the other way. This is the A code, meter-out: flow from the thread port to the tube is throttled, the return path runs free, and the cap carries an A mark so the setting direction is identifiable on the machine.
