The AirTAC Airtac SAIF Series Standard Cylinder with Valve SAIF32X250S-08F is a genuine double-acting ISO 15552 cylinder with a Ø32mm bore, 250mm stroke and a built-in 4M210-08 5/2 solenoid valve — it switches itself from one coil signal, so no separate remote valve or extra plumbing is needed.
The AirTAC SAIF32X250S-08F is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder equipped with a built-in 4M210-08 5/2 solenoid valve. Delivering a Cv of 0.89 and a 16.0 mm2 effective area, this decentralized unit switches itself from a single DC12V terminal coil signal. The assembly operates within a practical 0.15-0.8 MPa pressure range, as the integrated valve limits the 1.0 MPa cylinder rating. At 0.5 MPa it yields 402N of push force and 345N of pull force.
This 32mm bore unit includes a magnet for CMSE reed and DMSE electronic sensors. It uses an O8 x O5 PU tube between the manifold and cylinder, meaning the 1/4" valve port differs from the cylinder's 1/8" port. By default, the piston rod retracts when the coil is energised, but you can reconfigure it to extend-when-energised by repositioning the valve.

The cylinder rates to 1.0 MPa but the built-in valve operates 0.15–0.8 MPa, so run the assembled SAIF at 0.15–0.8 MPa. Default: rod retracts when the coil is energised (reconfigurable to extend). Specs follow the official AirTAC SAIF datasheet. Port options: PT / G.

SAIF does not hold its load without air — the valve routes air, it is not a lock. For load-holding use a SAIL (lock) or BSAI (clamp-lock).
Ideal for large machines with distributed stations, eliminating long tubing runs by mounting the valve directly on the cylinder.
Suits space-tight machinery where a separate valve manifold would consume valuable real estate and add complex wiring.
Perfect for upgrading existing lines where routing new pneumatic tubing back to a central panel is costly or impractical.
Choose this self-valved SAIF when you need to eliminate remote plumbing and save panel space across decentralized machine stations. If you require higher force, stepping up to the 40mm bore provides 628N of push force at 0.5 MPa. For lighter duties, note this 32mm bore is the smallest available. The DC12V terminal coil draws 3.0 W, features IP65 protection, and activates in 0.05 s or less.
When ordering a replacement, verify the 250mm stroke, 1/4" valve port, 1/8" cylinder port, PT thread type, carbon steel rod, and the -S magnet. Because the stroke is 250mm, ensure adequate guiding to manage side loads. Remember that the 5/2 valve routes air but does not hold the load without live pressure; for true locking, consider the SAIL series.
Quick checklist
The 32mm bore generates 402N of push force and 345N of pull force at 0.5 MPa. The built-in 4M210-08 valve provides an effective area of 16.0 mm2 (Cv 0.89) with a maximum frequency of 5 cycles per second.
The integrated 5/2 valve is driven by a DC12V terminal coil (3.0 W, IP65, 0.05 s response). Factory-set to retract the rod when energised, it can be reconfigured to extend-when-energised by repositioning the valve, removing the need for a separate remote valve.
