When integrating this cylinder, remember that the lock is a static holding device, not a dynamic brake for a moving rod. Valve selection is critical: never use a fast-exhaust valve, as back-pressure on the locker side can unintentionally release the lock—always use an independent-exhaust solenoid valve. Furthermore, if human safety depends on the load remaining elevated, an independent mechanical safety measure must supplement the cylinder.
