Is the Airtac SCD Standard Cylinder SCD125X600 the Right Cylinder?

Choose the SCD125X600 when your application needs balanced, bidirectional force in the 5700 N range at standard plant pressure. If you require less force, the SCD100 double-rod cylinder provides 3681 N at 0.5 MPa; for heavier loads, step up to the SCD160 which outputs 9425 N at the same pressure. This double-rod unit is ideal when you need to mount tooling or a sensor flag on the rear rod, but remember that a through-rod alone does not make it a guided cylinder—if the 600 mm stroke exposes the rods to significant side loads, add an external linear guide.

For a direct replacement, match the 125 mm bore, 600 mm stroke, PT port thread, and basic mounting configuration. If your current cylinder has a magnet for sensors, specify the -S suffix. This model uses the standard TPU seal for -20 to +70 °C operation; for high-temperature environments up to +150 °C, select the Viton seal option (-H).
