This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is SAUD32X75 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the SAUD32X75 in place of this model. The SAU replacement uses the same profile body, bore, stroke, force and SC-series mounting. It moves to the current CMSG / DMSG / EMSG sensor switches (the SU used CS1-B / DS1-B) and adds the SAUF valve-integrated option.

The AirTAC Airtac SUD Series Double Rod Cylinder SUD32X75 is a double-acting profile-type standard cylinder with a Ø32mm bore and 75mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and adjustable end cushioning. This model is discontinued — the drop-in replacement is the SAUD32X75, which matches its bore, stroke, force and mounting.
The AirTAC SUD32X75 is a double-acting, double-rod profile cylinder featuring a 32mm bore and 75mm stroke. A rod exits both ends on a single piston, meaning push and pull force are equal at 345N @0.5 MPa, 483N @0.7 MPa, and 621N @0.9 MPa. The extruded aluminium profile barrel is notably shorter than standard cylinders of the same bore. This SUD model is discontinued; the exact drop-in replacement is the SAUD32X75, matching the 1/8" port, M10x1.25 rod thread, and FA/LB mounting.
Because the rear rod can drive a second tool or carry a sensor cam, double-rod designs excel at anti-rotation and dual-workstation tasks. Based on the 345N @0.5 MPa rating, the safe working load is roughly 207N, allowing a vertical lift of about 18kg with a 2:1 margin. This non-magnetic SKU cannot accept a sensor. Note that air cushions only decelerate near stroke end; an external rod lock is required to hold loads on air loss.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC SU datasheet (now discontinued). The SAUD32X75 carries the same ratings. Confirm against the product label before installation. Thread options: PT / G / NPT.

The SAUD32X75 produces the same force from the same bore — a true drop-in on output. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.

Legacy SU-family variants: SUD (double rod), SUJ (adjustable stroke) — each maps to its SAU equivalent (SUD→SAUD, SUJ→SAUJ). The current SAU line adds the SAUF valve-integrated option.
Simultaneously pushes and pulls parts between two parallel workstations using both rod ends, ensuring perfectly synchronized timing without adding external linkages.
Lifts delicate fixtures vertically with strict anti-rotation stability, using the dual rods to prevent torsional drift that would twist a single-rod assembly.
Drives two opposing clamps from a single piston, delivering equal 345N clamping force on both sides to hold a workpiece perfectly centered during machining.
To replace the discontinued SUD32X75, order the drop-in SAUD32X75, which preserves the 32mm bore, 75mm stroke, equal-both-ways force, and FA/LB mounting. When sizing both ways, neighbouring bores (40mm) offer higher force, while smaller bores lack the required output. A double rod is the right choice when you need strict anti-rotation or must drive two tools simultaneously. This non-magnetic version cannot take switches, but if upgrading to an -S SAUD, change from legacy CS1-B/DS1-B to current CMSG/DMSG/EMSG sensors. For strokes >=300mm, verify the side-load line to prevent guide wear. Remember, cushions only decelerate; use an external rod lock for load holding.
Replacement checklist
Yes, the SUD32X75 is discontinued. The exact drop-in replacement is the SAUD32X75, which matches the 32mm bore, 75mm stroke, 1/8" port, and equal-both-ways force. The SAU replacement also supports the SAUF built-in-valve variant.
Force is equal both ways: 345N @0.5 MPa, 483N @0.7 MPa, and 621N @0.9 MPa. The air port is 1/8" (PT thread). It operates at 0.15-1.0 MPa with a 21mm adjustable cushion at each end.
