Because a rod exits both ends on one piston, both faces use the rod-side area, making push and pull force equal at 345 N @0.5 MPa, 483 N @0.7 MPa, and 621 N @0.9 MPa. The dual-rod design prevents piston rotation and lets the back rod carry a sensor cam for legacy CS1-B/DS1-B switches (the SAUD replacement uses current CMSG/DMSG/EMSG sensors).
