A rod exits both ends on a single piston, meaning both faces use the rod-side area and push/pull force is equal both ways at 1402 N @0.5 MPa, 1962 N @0.7 MPa, and 2523 N @0.9 MPa. The 3/8 inch port and M16x1.5 rod thread are fixed by the bore. This SUD series is discontinued and the exact drop-in replacement is the SAUD63X300H, sharing the same body, bore, stroke, force, and FA/LB mounting.
Because the rear rod can carry a sensor cam or drive a second tool simultaneously, double-rod designs offer excellent anti-rotation properties.
