About the Airtac TACE Guided Compact Cylinder TACE50X70S
Double acting and non-rotating, the TACE50X70S is an ISO 21287 compact cylinder with a 50 mm bore and 70 mm stroke. Twin guide rods on a yoke stop the tooling rotating and carry side load, so a gripper or plate stays square without an external guide. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 981.7 N and pulls 881.2 N, rising to 1374.4 N of push at 0.7 MPa. Its short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it drops into tight jigs, guards and gantries.
For sizing, treat about 589 N as the usable working force at 0.5 MPa; vertically that is roughly 100 kg of lift, or about 50 kg with a 2:1 margin. A 16 mm S45C hard-chrome rod ends in a female M10x1.5 thread, and 1/8" PT ports feed both chambers.
