Airtac TACQ Guided Rod Ultra-Thin Cylinder TACQ100X50

The AirTAC Airtac TACQ Guided Rod Ultra-Thin Cylinder TACQ100X50 is a genuine double-acting GUIDED compact (JIS) cylinder — a Ø100mm bore, 50mm stroke and two guide rods with a fixing plate. The twin guides hold the platform non-rotating to within ±0.15° and carry lateral load a plain compact rod cannot, so it drives and guides a load in one unit.

About the Airtac TACQ Guided Rod Ultra-Thin Cylinder TACQ100X50

The AirTAC TACQ100X50 is a double-acting JIS compact guided cylinder featuring a 100mm bore and 50mm stroke. Two chromed carbon steel guide rods and a fixing plate replace a separate linear guide, driving and guiding your load in one unit. It provides non-rotating accuracy of ±0.15° and handles lateral loads that a plain rod cannot.

Drive force equals a standard ACQ of this bore, as the guides add stiffness not thrust. It generates 3927N push and 3524.8N pull at 0.5MPa, or 5497.8N push at 0.7MPa. The unit uses a PT3/8 port, an M20x2.5 rod thread, and fixed NBR elastomer bumpers. Remember it will not hold a load on air loss without an external rod lock.

Is the Airtac TACQ Guided Rod Ultra-Thin Cylinder TACQ100X50 the Right Cylinder?

This 100mm bore unit provides 3927N push at 0.5MPa. Stepping down to the 80mm bore yields 2513.2N push, while the 100mm is the largest standard size available. If your application only needs basic extension without anti-rotation, a plain ACQ fits better. When ordering, confirm the 50mm stroke is within the 100mm maximum, specify PT3/8 threads, and note this model ships without a sensor magnet. Always verify the mass and speed limits charted at 0.5MPa, and ensure any applied external force remains concentric with the piston rod.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Lateral load / non-rotation needed?
  • ✓ Moving mass and speed within chart
  • ✓ Drive force at your pressure
  • ✓ Magnet (S) for sensors?
  • ✓ No reverse torque on the guide rods

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Use clean air filtered to 40µm or finer.
  • check Keep within 0.15 – 1.0 MPa operating pressure.
  • check Do not apply reverse torque above the datasheet limit.
  • check Apply external force concentric with the rod.
  • check Keep mass × speed within the performance chart.
  • check Installation by qualified personnel per AirTAC docs.

Airtac TACQ Guided Rod Ultra-Thin Cylinder TACQ100X50 FAQ

It delivers 3927N push and 3524.8N pull at 0.5MPa, 5497.8N push at 0.7MPa, and 801kgf max push at 1.0MPa. The port is PT3/8, the rod-end thread is M20x2.5, and non-rotating tolerance is ±0.15°. The maximum standard stroke is 100mm.

The two chromed carbon steel guide rods manage lateral loads, but maximum allowable reverse torque decreases with stroke extension. Treat the charted 0.5MPa torque values as an order-of-magnitude guide and confirm the exact limit from the datasheet. The fixed NBR bumper decelerates near stroke end, but a plain ACQ-type will not hold a load on air loss; use an external rod lock for fail-safe holding.
