About the GC30008F2G AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, G1/4

The GC30008F2G is an AirTAC GC-series three-unit F.R.L. combination: a separate air filter, pressure regulator and oil-mist lubricator assembled as one set, giving you filtration (water and particulate removal), regulation and lubrication in a single installation. This GC300 configuration is built around a 1/4 in port with G (BSPP) thread, carries the standard 40 um filter element, uses the differential-pressure drain as its default drain method, and is fitted with the embedded square gauge scaled in psi. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), the polycarbonate bowls suit the -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) operating range, and the set includes a mounting bracket.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GC family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT thread, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge scale options and a reverse/check valve where the code calls for one. Rated flow for this unit is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). The combination has no separate bracket code — the three units couple together with their own mounting hardware. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF300-08 filter, GR300-08 regulator and GL300-08 lubricator.

Size Class & How It Differs From GFC

  • GC200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GC300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GC400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GC600PT3/4" - PT1"

A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

Where the GC30008F2G AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, G1/4 Is Used

factory

Automotive assembly line air drops

Feeding impact wrenches, nut runners and air ratchets at assembly stations: the filter strips water and swarf from the shop-air drop, the regulator holds the set working pressure at each station, and the lubricator carries an oil mist to keep air tools running through double shifts.

conveyor_belt

Packaging and bottling line actuators

Supplying the pneumatic cylinders and gates on a filling or cartoning conveyor: clean, moisture-reduced air protects the actuators and valve stack, the regulator pins the line pressure that sets cycle consistency, and the lubricator mists the cylinder seals for longer service.

precision_manufacturing

CNC machine-shop clamping circuits

Powering pneumatic clamps, vises and part-eject cylinders on a machining cell: the 40 um element keeps grit out of the clamping valves, the regulator holds the clamping force at a repeatable setpoint on the psi gauge, and the lubricated air conditions the cylinder internals.

Is the GC30008F2G AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, G1/4 the Right Station?

Start with size and port: the GC series steps through sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, and the port rises with each size step, so match the size to the air consumption of the downstream circuit - we will confirm the flow curves against your demand before you order. Then set the drain: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain (the default); automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are orderable alternatives. Set the filter grade: 40 um is the standard element, 5 um is the W option for finer protection. Choose the gauge: the embedded square gauge is standard and this code specifies the psi scale; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are available. Thread: PT is the AirTAC standard, with G (BSPP, as on this model) and NPT as catalogue options. A mounting bracket is included with this set.

One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a flow figure here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet figures and the right size before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Three-unit (GC) or two-unit (GFC) layout
  • ✓ Oil mist acceptable downstream

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install with the airflow arrow: filter first, lubricator last.
  • check Mount vertically, bowls down.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills; check the oil level.
  • check Keep the station above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR300-08 regulator with a GF300-08 filter on that branch.

GC30008F2G AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, G1/4 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GC series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Tell us your application and downstream air consumption, and we will confirm the datasheet flow curves and check the GC300 size and its 1/4 in port against your demand before you order.

The differential-pressure drain is the default and drains the filter bowl as the pressure differential builds. If you want draining without relying on that differential, order the automatic-drain version (code A); if you prefer an operator to drain the bowl on a schedule, the manual drain (code M) is the choice. All three drain options are catalogue choices on the GC family, and the regulation range differs by drain type: 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with the automatic and differential-pressure drains, and 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with the manual drain.
