About the GC400C10MC2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8, Manual Drain

The GC400C10MC2K is an AirTAC GC-series three-unit F.R.L. combination: a separate air filter, pressure regulator and oil-mist lubricator supplied as one set. This size 400 configuration carries a 3/8 in PT thread, a 40 um filter element with manual drain, a standard regulator with a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range, a round psi gauge, a reverse/check valve and a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the filter and lubricator bowls are PC (polycarbonate) at this size.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GC family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options that include automatic or manual drains, a 5 um filter element (code W), gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, and reverse/check valves. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). The combination has no separate bracket code — the three units couple together with their own mounting hardware. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF400-C1 filter, GR400-C1 regulator and GL400-C1 lubricator.

Size Class & How It Differs From GFC

  • GC200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GC300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GC400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GC600PT3/4" - PT1"

A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

Where the GC400C10MC2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8, Manual Drain Is Used

factory

Automotive assembly cells

Filtered, regulated and oil-misted air for impact wrenches, clamping cylinders and air fixtures at final-assembly stations, with the reverse/check valve guarding the set against backflow in the supply line.

conveyor_belt

Carton packaging lines

Conditioned air for stopper, pusher and diverting cylinders along carton sealing and case-packing conveyors, with the round psi gauge giving operators a visible setpoint at the line.

handyman

Woodworking shops

Supply conditioning for nail guns, spray guns and air sanders in a joinery or furniture shop, where the manual drain lets operators bleed accumulated water from the filter bowl at the end of each shift.

Is the GC400C10MC2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8, Manual Drain the Right Station?

Choose the size and port by the air consumption of the downstream circuit: GC units come in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, stepping up in port from 1/8 in to 1 in, and this size 400 unit with a 3/8 in PT thread suits mid-range circuits. The decodable choices on this family are the filter drain (differential-pressure by default, automatic with code A, manual with code M - this unit is manual), the filter element (40 um standard, 5 um with code W), the gauge (embedded square as standard, external round optional, in MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit carries a round psi gauge), the thread (PT standard, with G and NPT as order options) and the reverse/check valve (code K, fitted here). Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Three-unit (GC) or two-unit (GFC) layout
  • ✓ Oil mist acceptable downstream

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install with the airflow arrow: filter first, lubricator last.
  • check Mount vertically, bowls down.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills; check the oil level.
  • check Keep the station above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR400-C1 regulator with a GF400-C1 filter on that branch.

GC400C10MC2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8, Manual Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GC series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

A manual drain (code M) means an operator opens the drain to release accumulated water, which suits attended installations on a regular shift pattern. The GC series is also available with automatic (A) or differential-pressure (default) drains on other configurations. On this manual-drain unit the regulator adjusts from 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
