The AirTAC GFR200-06 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR200-06 is a genuine AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body for compressed air. This size-200 unit has 1/8 in NPT ports, a standard 40 um filter element, and a manual drain, so you vent the collected water and dirt from the polycarbonate bowl by hand as part of your maintenance routine. It is the low-pressure type, suited to circuits that run at reduced set pressures, and it comes with a round pressure gauge reading in MPa. No mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
GFR is one of six AirTAC G-series air-treatment families, made in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in. Across the series you can order a 5 um element (code W), automatic or differential-pressure draining instead of manual, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, PT or G threads in place of NPT, and a mounting bracket. This unit handles a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and operates from -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 06 | Port size PT1/8". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the air fed to spray guns on a finishing line, where clean, moisture-reduced air at a low set pressure keeps the finish consistent and the gun supply stable.
Conditioning the air feeding cylinders and valves on a cartoning or wrapping machine, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled changeover and cleaning.
Supplying filtered, low-set regulated air to pneumatic fixtures on a laboratory or test bench, with the MPa gauge giving a clear local reading at the point of use.
Start with the port and size step: GFR200 with 1/8 in NPT ports is the smallest step in the range, so match it to your line size and required air delivery - we can check the published flow curves against your demand before you order. Choose the drain to suit access: this unit is manual drain, which suits attended installations; automatic or differential-pressure draining is available if the bowl is hard to reach. The 40 um element fitted here is the standard grade; specify code W for 5 um where finer particulate removal matters. The round gauge on this unit reads in MPa; square embedded gauges and psi or bar scales are alternatives. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this unit is the NPT version. A mounting bracket can be added if you need panel fixing (this configuration has none).
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not a single rated figure, so please ask us to confirm the flow and datasheet details against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your line size and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet for this exact unit before you order.
This configuration (code M) uses a manual drain: you vent accumulated water from the bowl by hand, which suits installations checked during routine maintenance. The GFR series is also available with automatic (code A) or differential-pressure (blank) draining if you prefer the bowl to discharge without attention.
