The AirTAC GFR200-06 NPT1/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-06 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air through a 5 um element and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This unit is the low-pressure type, size 200 with a 1/8 in NPT port, fitted with a manual drain, an external round gauge on a psi scale, and a mounting bracket. Its polycarbonate bowl lets you see collected condensate at a glance. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT thread as standard and G or NPT to order, with a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, and gauge options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 06 | Port size PT1/8". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding low-pressure pilot air to directional control valves on a packaging machine, where the 5 um element protects the valve spools from water and grit and the round psi gauge lets operators set and verify the pilot pressure at a glance.
Conditioning bench air at a laboratory or test rig that runs at reduced pressure, where the low-pressure type regulator holds a gentle setting and the manual drain is emptied as part of the daily shutdown check.
Supplying air to pneumatic spray guns or hand-held air tools at a workbench, where the 5 um filtration keeps condensate and particulate out of the tool and the regulator sets a stable working pressure for the job.
Pick the size and port against the air demand of your circuit: this unit is size 200 with a 1/8 in NPT port, the smallest step in the GFR range, which runs up to size 600 and 1 in. Drain options are manual, automatic or differential-pressure; this configuration has a manual drain, which suits points of use that are checked and drained on a routine. Filtration here is 5 um (the W grade) against the 40 um standard element - choose 5 um when downstream components need finer protection. The fitted gauge is the external round type on a psi scale; an embedded square gauge and MPa or bar scales are the other catalogue choices. This is the low-pressure type, for circuits that run below the standard regulator band. Thread is NPT; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also available. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request.
With a manual drain, the condensate that collects in the polycarbonate bowl is drained by hand rather than automatically. That suits points of use that are visited on a routine. If the unit will sit unattended, ask us about the automatic or differential-pressure drain options in the same series.
