The AirTAC GFR200-06 NPT1/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-06 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single compact body. This 200-size unit has a 1/8 in NPT port, a 40 um standard filter element and a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, so condensate is released by hand during routine checks. It is the low-pressure (L) type for circuits that run below standard line pressure, and it carries a built-in reverse (check) valve so downstream pressure is held if the supply is interrupted. No gauge is fitted and no mounting bracket is supplied with this configuration. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and is ordered with choices of thread (PT standard, G or NPT), drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um optional), gauge and scale, and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm flow and datasheet figures against your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 06 | Port size PT1/8". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

A bench-top fixture that clamps workpieces with air cylinders running at reduced pressure gets both clean air and gentle, stable regulation from one GFR200-06 body, with the check valve holding the clamp if the supply drops.
Bench test rigs and laboratory pneumatic circuits that must run well below standard shop-air pressure use the low-pressure type to trim supply pressure, while the 40 um element keeps particles out of sensitive instruments.
Small process or packaging valves with low-pressure pneumatic actuators take their pilot supply through this unit, which filters the air, regulates it to the actuator's range and prevents backflow through the pilot line.
Start with the port step: this unit is 200 size with a 1/8 in NPT port, so match it to the line size and the air demand of the circuit - larger GFR sizes (300/400/600) carry larger ports for higher demand. Choose the drain: this configuration is manual drain, which suits attended installations where an operator can bleed the bowl; automatic or differential-pressure drain versions are available for unattended duty. The 40 um element is the standard grade; a 5 um (W) element is available where finer filtration is needed. Gauge, bracket and thread (PT standard, G or NPT) are all order-time choices. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your line size and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet curves for this exact model on request.
In this configuration the code M sets a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand during routine checks, which suits attended installations. The code K adds a reverse (check) valve, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply is interrupted. Automatic-drain versions without the check valve are available in the same size if your duty differs.
