The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/4, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint in one body. This 200-size unit is threaded G1/4, uses the standard 40 um filter element, and carries a manual drain, so condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand. The round gauge on this configuration reads in psi, and the standard regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). No mounting bracket is included and no reverse/check valve is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with a choice of drain type, a 5 um (W) filter element, gauge scale, thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order) and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm flow and datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air prep for the clamping and tool-change circuits on a CNC machining centre, with the round psi gauge letting setters verify the regulated supply at a glance.
Supplying cylinders and directional valves on a carton-forming packaging line, where the 40 um element keeps debris out of the valves and the manual drain suits a shift-end condensate check.
Regulated air to a lab or pilot test rig, where the 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range and psi readout let technicians set low supply pressures for sensitive instruments.
Step through the real choices before ordering. Size and port set the air-handling capacity: 200 is the smallest step, and 300/400/600 carry larger ports and more flow - this unit is already fixed at G1/4. Drain type matters in daily use: this configuration has the manual drain (M); the series also offers automatic (A) and the differential-pressure default if you cannot drain the bowl by hand. Filtration is the standard 40 um element, with the 5 um (W) element as the finer option. The gauge here is the external round type reading psi; embedded square gauges and MPa/psi/bar scales are the other routes. Thread is G on this unit, with PT as the standard and NPT available to order, and no bracket is fitted - add the bracket option if you need to mount the unit. Flow for the GFR series is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GFR200-08 on request.
The M in the code selects the manual drain: you release collected condensate from the bowl by hand. The same series is also available with an automatic drain (A) or the differential-pressure drain that is the series default, so pick those variants if the bowl cannot be drained regularly. On this 200-size unit the bowl is polycarbonate and the air must stay non-freezing, within -5 to 70 C.
