The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a size-200 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets a stable downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has 1/4 in NPT ports, a 40 um standard filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in MPa. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, manual or automatic drain variants, a 5 um element (code W), gauge scale choices and a low-pressure regulator type. Flow for this model is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filter and regulate the air feeding pick-and-place and carton-sealing cylinders on a packaging conveyor, with the reverse/check valve holding the set pressure if the supply dips.
Condition the air supply to a machining-centre clamping circuit, keeping fixture pressure steady so workpieces are held consistently through the cycle.
Fit at the point of use on an assembly-line air drop, cleaning the shop supply and letting each operator set the pressure their tools and actuators need.
Size and port are the first decision: the 200 frame with 1/4 in NPT ports suits compact drops and branch lines, while larger GFR sizes carry higher flow - match the step to your demand using the published curves. This unit uses the 40 um standard element; choose the W variant if the application needs 5 um. Drain is differential-pressure here; automatic (A) and manual (M) versions exist if your maintenance routine prefers them. The square gauge is scaled in MPa, with psi and bar scales available, and an external round gauge is an option. Thread is NPT on this code; PT is the standard and G is also orderable. A bracket can be added by selecting a code without the J suffix.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as performance curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote a flow figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet curves and sizing for the GFR200-08 on request.
The differential-pressure drain on this unit bleeds accumulated condensate automatically as air flows through the bowl, so no manual draining is needed during normal operation. If you prefer a fully automatic drain or a manual drain, those are available as separate GFR codes (A or M suffix) - ask us for the variant you need.
