The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 5 um, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 200-size unit is ordered here with NPT1/4 (1/4 in) ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain for the PC bowl, a round MPa pressure gauge fitted, and a reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjustment range with manual drain is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, thread option and check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to a machining centre's pneumatic tool-changer and clamping circuits, where the 5 um element protects fine valves from particles and the regulator holds a steady set pressure.
Conditioning the air supply to conveyor stopper and diverting cylinders on a packaging line, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled changeovers and the check valve holding downstream pressure if supply dips.
A point-of-use filter regulator at an assembly bench air drop, giving operators a locally adjustable, filtered supply for air tools and small actuators, with the round MPa gauge showing set pressure at a glance.
Size and port step up together: 200 is the smallest GFR frame, so start here when your line runs at 1/4 in and your flow demand is modest, and step to 300/400/600 for larger ports and higher flow. Choose the drain to match the duty: manual drain (this unit) needs someone to open it periodically; automatic or differential-pressure drains suit points that are hard to reach. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer grade versus the 40 um standard - pick it when downstream equipment needs cleaner air. Gauge scale is selectable (MPa, psi or bar); this unit ships with a round MPa gauge. Thread: PT is the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue order options, and this unit is ordered with NPT. A bracket is included for panel or surface mounting.
One honest note before you order: flow for the GFR series is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you commit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and air demand, and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet for this exact configuration before you order.
The M in the code selects a manual drain on the PC bowl: collected water is released by opening the drain by hand, typically during routine checks. If the installation is hard to reach or runs unattended, the same series can be ordered with an automatic or differential-pressure drain instead.
