The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 5um Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single compact body. This 200-size unit is fitted with 1/4 in NPT ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer W grade, versus the standard 40 um), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in bar. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and no mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and options including manual or automatic drains, a 40 um or 5 um element, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and an optional bracket. Flow figures for this series are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to the tool-change and clamping circuits of a machining centre, where the 5 um element guards against fine particulate reaching sensitive valves and cylinders.
Conditioning the supply to the pneumatic control manifold of a cartoning or wrapping line, with the bar-scale gauge giving operators a clear setpoint for the machine's rated pressure.
Holding a steady regulated pressure to a workholding clamping circuit, where the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate moving out without daily manual blowdown.
Start with the port size: this unit is 1/4 in NPT in the 200 frame, and the GFR range steps up through 300, 400 and 600 for larger ports and higher flow demand. Choose the drain to suit access: differential-pressure (fitted here) needs no attention during operation, automatic drains on a timer-free principle, and manual drains suit infrequently visited installations. Filter grade is a real choice: 40 um is the standard element, while the 5 um W grade fitted here protects finer downstream components. Gauge scale can be ordered in MPa, psi or bar (bar here), and thread can be PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT as ordered. A bracket is optional on this family.
One honest note before you order: AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet before you commit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your inlet pressure and downstream demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W code in GFR20008JF3WT selects the optional 5 um filter element, finer than the 40 um standard, for applications with sensitive downstream components. A blank drain position means the differential-pressure type is fitted, which passes collected condensate out as air flows through, with no manual intervention during operation.
