The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This size 200 unit is fitted with a 1/4 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a 40 um standard filter element, and an embedded square gauge scaled in bar. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and no mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um optional), gauge scale and thread (PT standard; G and NPT as order options). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air to the clamping fixtures and tool-change cylinders of a CNC machining centre, with the square bar gauge giving the operator a direct set-point readout at the machine.
Feeding the air cylinders that flip diverters and pushers on a packaging conveyor, where filtered, pressure-stabilised air keeps gate actuation consistent through the shift.
Supplying benchtop sample-prep and handling stations that run on 1/4 in air lines, where the manual-drain bowl suits intermittent use under supervision and the 40 um element protects small valves.
Size and port are the first choice: the 200 frame with a 1/4 in NPT port suits compact supply lines, while larger sizes (300/400/600) carry bigger ports for higher air demand. Drain type matters: this unit has a manual drain, so someone must bleed the bowl periodically; automatic or differential-pressure drains suit unattended installations. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W option for 5 um where finer filtration is needed. The embedded square gauge here reads in bar; MPa and psi scales are also available, and an external round gauge is optional. Thread is NPT on this unit; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is an order option. No mounting bracket is fitted with the J code.
Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rated number, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application and required flow before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and required air demand, and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet and check the sizing for your application before you order.
The M code in GFR20008MJF3T specifies a manual drain bowl: condensate collects in the polycarbonate bowl and must be bled off by hand. If the unit will run unattended, the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain options on GFR units remove that task. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) on this manual-drain version, and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
