The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single compact body. This size 200 unit is fitted with 1/4 in NPT ports, a 40 um standard filter element, a manual drain for emptying the polycarbonate bowl, and a low-pressure regulator type. An embedded square gauge (MPa scale) is included so you can see and set the outlet pressure, and a built-in reverse (check) valve holds the downstream setting if upstream pressure is lost. A mounting bracket is included for secure panel or frame installation.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, a 40 um standard or 5 um (W) fine filter element, gauge and scale options, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the drop to a bench press or clamping fixture, the GFR200-08 cleans the shop air to 40 um and holds a steady, operator-set low pressure at the cylinder, with the check valve keeping the setting if the main supply drops.
Mounted on the frame of a cartoning or wrapping line, this unit conditions the air feeding diverters and seal actuators, with the included bracket and MPa gauge making set-up and daily drain checks straightforward.
Fitted at a workshop wall drop serving impact wrenches and air ratchets, the GFR200-08 strips water and pipe scale before the tools and lets the operator dial in the working pressure on the square gauge.
Start with the port and size: this unit steps up from 1/4 in NPT within the GFR range, and larger sizes (300/400/600) carry more flow, so match the size to your air demand. Choose the drain to suit access: manual drain (as fitted here) needs periodic operator attention; automatic and differential-pressure drains empty the bowl without intervention. Filter grade is 40 um as standard, or specify W for the 5 um element where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauge scale can be MPa, psi or bar, and the thread can be ordered in PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT. Flow is published as curves, not a single rated number, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the correct size against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your working pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request.
The M in the code GFR20008MLF1TK specifies a manual drain: the polycarbonate bowl is emptied by hand, which suits locations where the unit is easy to reach. If the unit will be hard to access, the same GFR200 size can be ordered with an automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain instead.
