The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in one compact body, so you condition and control the air at a single drop point. This size 200 unit is threaded NPT1/4 (1/4 in), carries a 40 um standard filter element, and drains by hand through its manual drain - you bleed collected condensate at the bowl during checks or shutdown. The regulator is the low-pressure type, and a round pressure gauge scaled in MPa is fitted so the setpoint is visible at the unit. A reverse (check) valve is also fitted, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family runs from size 200 up to 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with automatic or differential-pressure draining, a 5 um element (code W), a square embedded gauge, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and with or without a bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

At a spray booth drop, the GFR200-08 filters water and dirt out of the 1/4 in air line before the gun and lets the operator set a steady, low working pressure on the fitted MPa gauge - without adding oil mist to the finish.
On a CNC fixture circuit that clamps at reduced pressure, this low-pressure-type filter regulator conditions the shop air and holds the setpoint, with the check valve helping the circuit keep its setting if upstream supply dips.
Feeding analytical instruments or a lab bench manifold from a compressed air ring main, the unit strips condensate and 40 um particles and lets a technician dial in the low supply pressure the instrument requires.
Start with the port: this unit is NPT1/4, so it suits a 1/4 in drop; if your line runs 3/8 in or larger, step up to a bigger GFR size rather than adapting down. Choose the drain to match how the unit is attended: manual (this unit) means an operator bleeds the bowl, automatic drains on its own, and differential-pressure draining suits lines that are rarely visited. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the 5 um W-code element only where finer filtration is genuinely required. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) are decodable choices, and a bracket can be added if this no-bracket version needs panel fixing. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated figure - and the low-pressure regulator's exact setting range is not published - ask us to confirm sizing and the setting range against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves across the pressure range, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a Cv, l/min or SCFM number for this unit. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR200-08MLJC1TK specifies a manual drain: condensate collecting in the PC bowl is released by hand during checks or shutdown, which suits drops that are visited regularly. If the unit will sit unattended, order the same GFR200-08 with an automatic (A) or differential-pressure drain instead - both are catalogue options in this family.
