The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR200-08 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single compact body. This size-200 unit is configured with a 1/4 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, a fitted reverse/check valve, an included mounting bracket, and an external round pressure gauge reading in MPa. With manual drainage, an operator drains accumulated condensate by hand, which suits installations that are checked as part of a routine walk-round rather than left unattended. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulated outlet is adjustable from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, PT, G or NPT thread, and bracket options. Flow data for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use clean-up and pressure setting on the air feed to a machining centre's pneumatic tool changers and clamps: the 40 um element strips water and pipe scale ahead of the valves, the regulator sets a stable working pressure, and the check valve holds the circuit if the shop supply dips.
Feeding cylinders and diverters on a carton packing conveyor: the filter-regulator combination conditions the air and sets the pressure the cylinder circuit was designed for, while the manual drain suits a line that is blown down at each shift start.
A wall-mounted air drop serving hand tools and small fixtures at an assembly bench: the 1/4 in NPT port matches standard drop hardware, the round MPa gauge gives the operator a clear setpoint readout, and the included bracket fixes the unit to the drop frame.
Size and port: GFR200 is the smallest step in the GFR range with a 1/4 in port here; step up to GFR300, GFR400 or GFR600 if your line needs larger ports and more flow - match the size to the flow curve for your circuit. Drain: this unit has a manual drain; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain variants if the bowl cannot be drained by hand on a regular schedule. Filtration: the standard 40 um element suits general plant air; specify the W option (5 um) where downstream valves or instruments need finer filtration. Gauge: this configuration carries an external round gauge scaled in MPa; square embedded gauges and psi or bar scales are available. Thread: PT is the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options - this unit is specified with NPT. A mounting bracket is included, and the fitted reverse/check valve holds downstream pressure if upstream supply is lost.
Because flow for this series is published as curves and not as a single rated number, we cannot honestly quote a rated flow here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM for this unit. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet and check the sizing against your required flow before you order.
This configuration is coded M for a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand, which suits installations checked on a regular routine. If the unit will be left unattended, GFR variants with automatic drain (code A) or differential-pressure drain (blank, the default) are available in the same size - ask us to quote the alternative code.
