The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT1/4, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single compact body. This size-200 unit has a PT1/4 (1/4 in) PT thread, 40 um standard filtration, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the element rises, and a round pressure gauge with a psi scale. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and an operating temperature of -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl keeps the condensate level visible at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge and thread options, and low-pressure or standard regulator types. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning for a machining centre's pneumatic actuators and tool-change clamps: the GFR200-08 cleans the shop air to 40 um and holds a steady regulated pressure at the machine's 1/4 in air inlet, with the psi gauge giving the operator a clear setpoint reference.
Mounted ahead of the pneumatic cylinders that index and stop cartons on a packaging conveyor, this filter regulator keeps water and debris out of the valves while delivering consistent pressure so box positioning stays repeatable shift after shift.
Installed on individual air drop legs around a factory floor, the GFR200-08 gives each workstation its own filtered and regulated supply. The differential-pressure drain handles condensate automatically between maintenance rounds, and the round psi gauge lets each operator verify their own line pressure.
Start with the port and size: this unit steps up from the smaller GFR200-06 (1/8 in) to a 1/4 in PT thread, and larger GFR300/400/600 bodies carry more flow if your line needs it. Choose the drain to match maintenance practice - the differential-pressure drain on this model works unattended, an automatic (A) drain empties continuously, and a manual (M) drain gives positive control. Filtration is 40 um as standard; specify W for 5 um where finer pre-filtration is needed. The round psi gauge fitted here can be swapped for MPa or bar scales, and PT is the standard thread with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order. This configuration ships without a mounting bracket (code J). Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application - the downstream cylinders or valves, working pressure and line length - and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The differential-pressure drain (the default, no letter in the code) releases collected condensate automatically when the pressure drop across the filter element rises to a set level, so the bowl empties itself during normal operation. If you prefer, the same GFR200 body can be ordered with an automatic (A) drain or a manual (M) drain - the manual option also widens the regulator adjustment range down to 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
