The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/4 5 um Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 200 configuration has a PT1/4 port, a 5 um filter element (code W), a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, and a low-pressure regulator fitted with a round gauge reading in psi. No mounting bracket is included, and no reverse/check valve is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, plus drain, filter-grade, gauge, thread and bracket options. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to pneumatic clamps that hold delicate workpieces at reduced pressure, with the 5 um element keeping debris out of the clamp cylinders and the psi gauge letting the setter read the clamp setting directly.
Conditions the shop-air supply feeding bench instruments and small test rigs that run at low pressure, filtering water and particles before the regulator and giving the operator a local psi reading at the rig.
Supplies clean, regulated air to the seal and flap-fold cylinders of a carton sealer, with the manual drain bled during shift checks and the 5 um grade protecting the machine's small control valves.
Step the size and port (200 through 600, 1/8 to 1 inch) against the flow your circuit needs; this unit is size 200 with a PT1/4 port. The 5 um element (code W) suits air that must be cleaner than the 40 um standard provides. The manual drain needs periodic bleeding by an operator instead of automatic or differential-pressure draining. The round gauge reads in psi; embedded square gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales are alternatives, and PT is the standard thread with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options. This is the low-pressure type and no bracket is fitted; the exact regulation range of the low-pressure type is not published in our data, so confirm it with us if your setpoint is critical. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
W is the filter-grade code: a 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard. Choose 5 um where downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need cleaner air; the 40 um standard element is the usual choice for general plant air. This unit also carries M for a manual drain, J for no bracket, C2 for a round psi gauge and L for the low-pressure regulator type.
