The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/4, 5 um, psi gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This size 200 unit has a PT1/4 (1/4 in) port, the 5 um filter element (the finer of the two grades offered), a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, and the low-pressure regulator type. A round pressure gauge scaled in psi is fitted and the mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options include 40 um or 5 um filtration, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, embedded square or external round gauges scaled in MPa, psi or bar, G or NPT thread variants, and standard or low-pressure regulator types. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On CNC machining fixtures with low-pressure clamping circuits, this filter regulator cleans the supply with its 5 um element and holds the set pressure, while the round psi gauge gives the setter a direct line readout at the fixture.
Small spray-coating and finishing rigs need clean, steadily regulated air at the atomizing gun. The 5 um element protects the gun and valve train, and the low-pressure regulator type suits lines run below standard regulator settings.
Packaging conveyor lines running small pneumatic pushers and diverters can take this 1/4 in filter regulator at each air drop, with the manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl emptied during scheduled line stops.
Choose the size and port step by the flow your line needs: size 200 with a PT1/4 port is the compact step in the range, while sizes 300, 400 and 600 carry larger ports and more flow. This unit is already specified with the 5 um element (the 40 um standard element is the alternative), a manual drain (automatic and differential-pressure drains are the other family options), and a round gauge scaled in psi (the embedded square gauge in MPa or bar is the standard alternative). The L in the code marks the low-pressure regulator type; its exact adjustment range is not published in the material we hold, so we confirm it on request. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as order options, and the bracket is included.
Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet before you order.
The M in the code is a manual drain: condensed water collects in the polycarbonate bowl and you open the drain valve yourself during maintenance checks. If you would rather not do this, the GFR family also offers automatic and differential-pressure drain options - ask us about those variants.
