The AirTAC GFR200-08L AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08L is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This unit is the 200 size with a 1/4 in NPT port, built as the low-pressure type (code L) for circuits that run at reduced regulated pressure. It carries the standard 40 um filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the element rises, and a polycarbonate bowl suited to the 200 size. The C3 code fits an external round gauge reading in bar, and the J code means the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in up to 1 in, and options including manual or automatic drains, a 5 um (W) filter grade, alternative gauge scales in MPa or psi, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to bench-top test rigs and sample-preparation stations where the line runs at reduced pressure and the round bar gauge lets operators read the setting directly.
Sits ahead of low-pressure actuated valves and light clamping cylinders on packaging machinery, removing condensate and particulate while holding a gentle regulated supply.
Conditions and regulates supply air to workholding jigs on machining cells, where the differential-pressure drain keeps moisture out of the clamping circuit without manual draining.
Start with the port step: this unit is the 200 size with a 1/4 in NPT port, and larger sizes (300/400/600) step up in port and flow capacity, so match the size to the air demand of the circuit. Choose the drain to suit access: differential-pressure (this unit) drains itself as the element loads, automatic (A) drains continuously, and manual (M) suits periodic service visits. Filter grade is 40 um as standard here, or 5 um with the W code where finer protection is needed. Gauge options are an embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit carries a round gauge reading in bar. Thread is NPT here; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also an order option, and a bracket can be added if the J (no bracket) code does not suit your mounting.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated number, so we cannot quote a rated flow figure. Ask us to confirm the flow curves and datasheet against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and air demand and we will confirm the flow curves and datasheet figures for this unit on request before you order.
L is the low-pressure regulator type, intended for circuits that run at reduced regulated pressure. C3 is the gauge code: an external round gauge fitted with a bar scale. The unit also decodes as NPT 1/4 in port, 40 um standard filter element, differential-pressure drain, and no mounting bracket.
