The AirTAC GFR200-08M AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200 series combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single body. This unit is the 200 size with a 1/4 in NPT port, built as the low-pressure regulator type for circuits that run below standard line pressure. It carries the standard 40 um filter element, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa, and a reverse (check) valve fitted so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply drops. No mounting bracket is included in this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and options including automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um filter element, alternative gauge scales (psi or bar), G or NPT threads, and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the flow and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a fixture-clamping manifold that operates below normal line pressure, this low-pressure type filter regulator cleans the supply, holds a stable reduced pressure, and the check valve keeps the clamp circuit from venting back if the main supply drops.
Feeding the air cylinders on a carton-sealing or case-packing conveyor line, the unit removes water and pipe scale at 40 um, regulates the pressure the cylinders see, and the manual drain bowl is emptied during scheduled changeover.
At the drop of a small workshop bench press, this 1/4 in NPT unit filters and regulates the supply in one body, the square MPa gauge gives the operator a direct pressure readout, and the compact 200 size fits tight panels without a bracket.
Start with the port step: the 200 size here takes a 1/4 in port, and stepping up to 300, 400 or 600 buys larger ports and more flow capacity - match the size to the air demand of the circuit rather than the pipe alone. This unit has a manual drain, so plan a routine drain check; if nobody will do that, the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions are the better choice. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W option (5 um) only where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The fitted square gauge reads in MPa; psi and bar scales can be ordered, and an external round gauge is available. Thread is NPT here, with PT and G (BSPP) as order options. This configuration omits the mounting bracket - add the bracket option if the unit will not be piped-supported. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand, and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this exact model on request.
M is the manual-drain code: accumulated water is released by operating the drain by hand, so it suits installations on a regular maintenance round. The trailing K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, holding downstream pressure if the upstream supply fails. Automatic and differential-pressure drains are available as alternative order codes.
