GFR200-08NT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT

The AirTAC GFR200-08NT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR200-08NT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT

The AirTAC GFR200-08NT is a compact filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 200-size unit is fitted with 1/4 in NPT ports, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the drain is sufficient. Pressure is adjusted across the standard 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) range, and the gauge position is unfilled on this variant (code N), so a separate gauge can be ordered if visual pressure indication is needed. A mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR series, which spans sizes 200 to 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT / G / NPT threads, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, and manual or automatic drain choices. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR200-08NT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR200-08NT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machine tool air supply

Feeding clean, regulated air to the tool-change and clamping circuits of a machining centre, where water and swarf-laden shop air must be dried and held at a stable set pressure before the valves.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator supply

Conditioning the air that drives pneumatic cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming conveyor, keeping moisture out of the actuators while the regulator holds the pressure the sequence was tuned for.

factory

Plant air drop for assembly benches

A bench-mounted drop from the main ring main at an assembly station: the 40 um element stops scale and condensate reaching hand tools, and the regulator sets a safe working pressure for the operator.

Is the GFR200-08NT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT the Right Unit?

Choose GFR200-08NT when your line needs 1/4 in NPT connections and the 200-size frame suits your flow band - verify the flow curve against your demand before ordering, as we confirm exact figures on request. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air; specify the W variant if you need 5 um. The differential-pressure drain suits continuously running lines; a manual-drain variant is available for intermittent duty. This unit ships without a gauge (code N), so order one separately if you want to read the set pressure. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are catalogue options ordered by code, as here. A mounting bracket is included.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR200-08NT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR200 as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand, and we will confirm the datasheet curve and check the sizing against your application on request.

The NT code specifies the gauge-omitted variant (N), so no gauge is fitted - a separate gauge can be ordered if you need to read the set pressure. The drain is the standard differential-pressure type: condensate collected in the PC bowl is discharged automatically when the differential across the drain is sufficient, with no manual intervention on a continuously running line.
