The AirTAC GFR200-08NWT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 1/4 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08NWT is a size 200 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single compact body. This configuration has a 1/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (code W, finer than the 40 um standard), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough, and no gauge fitted. The standard-type regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the polycarbonate bowl suits non-freezing air from -5 to 70 C.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT (standard), G or NPT threads, 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, gauge options and low-pressure or standard regulator types. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning for the air feed to a CNC machining centre's pneumatic tool-changer and clamping circuits: the 5 um element protects fine spools from particulate while the regulator holds a steady working pressure for repeatable clamping.
Mounted at the drop of a packaging conveyor's air header, the unit filters condensed water out of the supply and regulates the pressure feeding diverter gates and bag-seal cylinders, with the differential-pressure drain handling condensate without daily manual blowing down.
Installed on the air drop feeding spray-booth actuators and coating equipment controls, where the 5 um grade keeps fine contamination away from sensitive components and the regulator sets the stable pressure the booth controls were designed around.
Start with the port and size step: size 200 with a 1/4 in NPT port is the entry step of the GFR range, and larger sizes (300, 400, 600) carry larger ports and more flow, so match the step to the air demand of the circuit rather than oversizing by habit. Choose the drain to suit access: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain (default), which needs no attention at set intervals; an automatic drain (code A) or a manual drain (code M) can be ordered instead. The 5 um element (code W) is the right choice when downstream valves and cylinders need finer protection than the 40 um standard. Note that no gauge is fitted on this code (N); a gauge with your preferred scale can be specified on other codes. Thread is NPT here, with PT (standard) and G also available to order, and a mounting bracket is included.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number for this unit. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the relevant datasheet figures on request before you order.
The W in the code GFR200-08NWT selects the optional 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, giving finer protection for downstream components. The N selects no gauge, so the unit is supplied without one; other GFR codes add a gauge with MPa, psi or bar scale if you prefer a local pressure readout.
